About Me
From an early age in my career, I have always had a passion for working with children and young people. As a young student working as a nursery nurse at the age of 18, I have continued to work with young people in a variety of settings. I am continually amazed by young people’s honesty and openness during sessions, alongside their resilience to cope in a world which I feel at times is more overwhelming than ever.
I have worked as a counsellor in both primary and secondary schools in Greater Manchester and Cheshire, providing both one to one and group sessions. I currently work within a large secondary school in Liverpool, where I’ve counselled students for the past four years and continue to thoroughly enjoy. I remain committed to my professional development allowing me to continually enhance my knowledge and experience in working with all my clients, including young people. I have both trained with and worked for Place2Be, the UKs leading children’s mental health charity. I also offer online counselling for Kooth, a platform offering support to children and young people.
Alongside talking therapies, I believe that having the ability to work creatively allows younger clients to explore and express their feelings in an enjoyable and relaxed environment.
